Recording an Issue
From Jade
Recording an Issue is easy and something that may be important when working with Jade.
- First look at the screen that is giving you the issue. Is it a box within the Jade document, or is it a dialog box or something else (outside of the Jade application) that may be affecting performance of Jade. It could be anything, from a 3rd party plug-in to a operating system error. Report it likewise.
- Second take a Screen Snapshots. This will help a Bug Tracker understand where this may be coming from, as in the line of code that may be effected. In any issue this is the best thing to do first (or second).
- Close the error message and Jade. Then try to recreate the error, record the steps that you took to try to recreate the error. Every button you clicked, every file you opened, and every plug-in you used.
- Next get to know your Jade installation a little better. Record what plug-ins are enabled, what themes you are using, and who made the build that you installed. (Did the Jade Team, or was it a community member's personal build?)
- Lastly, identify the system. The best thing here to do is to get all your computer specifications. Be as detailed as possible, but be sure to include that document as a separate attachment with your screen shot.
Hope this helps!
